Olympic Peninsula Hunting.
Roosevelt Elk.

DAN PAYNE WITH HIS 6X6 ROOSEVELT BULL ELK.

IF YOU LIKE HUNTING FOR ELK THEN YOU WILL LOVE TO HUNT FOR THESE BRUTES. THESE ELK ARE ROOSEVELT, THE BIGGEST ELK ON THE NORTH AMERICA COAST. THEY CAN WEIGHT UP TO 1000 POUNDS ON THE HOOF.

MY ELK HUNTS ARE PHYSICALLY DEMANDING BEING IN GOOD SHAPE WILL ONLY HELP YOU WITH THE CHALLENGE YOUR FACED WITH. THE OLYMPIC MOUNTAIN RANGE ON THE OLYMPIC PENINSULA IS ROUGH AND THE LOW LAND SWAMPS ARE WET AND MUDDY. THESE AREAS SEEM TO HOLD THESE GIANTS.

THERE ARE THREE HUNTING SEASON FOR ELK, ARCHERY BEING THE FIRST HUNT WHICH STARTS THE FIRST WEEKEND IN SEPTEMBER. THIS HUNT IS ALWAYS THE BEST HUNT SINCE THE ELK HAVEN'T BEEN CHASED AND ARE EASIER TO GET UP CLOSE FOR A GOOD SHOT. THIS TIME OF YEAR ISN'T THAT GOOD FOR BIG BULLS SINCE THE RUT HAS NOT STARTED.

THEN MUZZLE LOADER WHICH ALSO IS THE FIRST WEEKEND IN OCTOBER. THIS HUNT CAN PRODUCE SOME BIG BULL SINCE THE RUT IS STARTED. THESE MATURE BULLS ARE MATING WITH THE COWS AND IS THE BEST TIME TO GET ONE OF THESE BRUTES.

THEN RIFLE WHICH IS THE 1ST OF NOVEMBER. THIS TIME OF YEAR CAN ALSO PRODUCE SOME BIG BULLS ALSO BUT NOT ALWAYS. IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHERE YOUR HUNTING. HAVE PERMISSION TO HUNT PRIVATE FARM LAND IS THE KEY ON HAVING A GREAT HUNT.

Check out these great bulls.
